Europe Standards Committee
Responsible for reviewing all proposed new and amended standards, as well as those scheduled to be removed, that impact hotels across Europe. Review is conducted through an advice-and-counsel process, linking to the various Working Groups both throughout Europe and globally.
Committee seeks specialist advice and obtains feedback from all Association members across the region on proposed standards changes and works in partnership with IHG to ensure the voice of the owner is heard and feedback responded to. The Committee informs the Europe Regional Council (ERC) of its position on the feedback received and makes recommendations. The ERC makes final decisions on endorsement of regional standards/standards changes and providing support or feedback for global standards.
