IHG's Americas CEO on strategy for the new decade
Through brand launches and acquisitions, InterContinental Hotels Group has been setting itself up to take advantage of new growth opportunities in the coming years, the company’s CEO of the Americas said in a video interview.
IHG has announced plans to open an office in Riyadh in March 2020. The news comes as IHG continues to expand its portfolio in the Kingdom in response to Vision 2030 and the opportunities it presents to the tourism and hospitality sector.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has appointed Anna-Marie Dowling as the area general manager for its IHG Oman properties. Dowling, who is also the general manager at InterContinental Muscat, is the first woman to take over the role at the 43-year old property.

IHG launched franchise sales efforts for its newest brand, Atwell Suites, in the United States. The company expects the upper-midscale brand's first locations to begin construction in early 2020 and open in 2021.
